Construction begins on 200 home development in Woolsington Grange
Construction has begun on a North East project to create 200 new homes and contribute to the local environment.
Woolsington Grange, north of Newcastle, will see a range of family homes and apartments created as part of the third phase of development at Kenton Bank Foot.
As part of its permission for Woolsington Grange, developer Taylor Wimpey will invest more than £2m in improving the local infrastructure and community facilities.
The financial contributions include an estimated value of £75k towards health services, £100k for highway improvements, and more than £1m towards the provision of education.
The new development will also feature large areas of public open space which will include play areas, providing opportunities for recreation and play for the whole community.
Sarah Northcott, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North East, commented: “We’re happy to now begin work on Woolsington Grange and look forward to bringing this development to life and watching a new community grow.
“This location is great for young couples and families alike. With its proximity to the Kington Park Retail Park and a Metro station nearby, it boasts a variety of amenities with the option also for easy travel.
“Additionally, the beautiful Havannah Nature reserve is only a couple of miles away, meaning weekends can be spent outdoors.”
“The new phase of development at Kenton Bank Foot furthers our commitment to delivering high-quality new-build homes in the Newcastle Growth Area and means we’ll also be investing in the local community.”
