Stephen Reidy, GoCardless

GoCardless, the fintech for recurring payments, has appointed Stephen Reidy as VP and general manager for the UK and Ireland.

Based at GoCardless’ London headquarters, Stephen will drive future growth by leading the Sales and Account Executive team.

He joined GoCardless in 2019 as director of sales for the UK and Ireland. Prior to this he was responsible for technology and media clients globally at Google Cloud and also held senior sales roles at Cisco across London and the Middle East.

Peter Ryan-Bell, AVIDA Global

AVIDA Global, a British producer of cannabis oils and isolates, has appointed senior banker Peter Ryan-Bell as its chief financial officer.

Peter has spent the last 22 years in the financial sector, most recently at NatWest where he was responsible for running the banks’ large corporate and institutions business and sat on the executive committee.

Prior to this, as managing director, he headed up NatWest’s corporate risk solutions teams across the UK and Western Europe. He has also held senior posts at Schroders and Bank of America.

Anabelle Bexiga and Simon Collins, Quantexa

Quantexa, the data and analytics software company pioneering contextual decision intelligence, has today announced that Anabelle Bexiga and Simon Collins have joined its advisory board.

Annabelle Bexiga brings over 30 years’ experience in financial services technology, having held C-Suite roles and led large technology teams at several global financial services firms, including CIO roles at TIAA, Bain Capital, AIG, and JP Morgan Chase.

Annabelle is also currently a CIO Advisor at Zoom Video Communications and a non-executive director on the boards of DWS Group, Stonex Group, and Triton International.

Simon Collins was chairman and senior partner of KPMG LLP until 2017. He holds a variety of chair, board and advisory roles with UK and international technology-enabled companies including Decoded, Signal-ai and Mind Maze.

He is also a non-executive director of the Royal Air Force, chairman of the University of Manchester’s Global Leadership Board, chairman of the Catalyst Board for Cancer Research UK and Chairman of Resilience First.

Marcus Sly, Sim Local

Sim Local has appointed long-standing industry expert, Marcus Sly, as its head of eSIM business development.

Marcus brings extensive knowledge and experience of the telecommunications sector, having worked in the industry for over 23 years.

Prior to joining Sim Local, Marcus was sales director at IDEMIA and Giesecke & Devrient, where he supplied SIM cards and SIM based solutions from Tier One to Tier Four MNO and MVNOs worldwide.

Bob Ivins, TVSquared

TVSquared, the global leader in unified cross-platform measurement, has announced that Bob Ivins has joined as chief strategy officer (CSO).

A three-decade industry veteran, Ivins is widely recognised for pioneering data-driven advertising, and promoting better transparency and collaboration throughout the TV ecosystem.

Ivins joins TVSquared from Ampersand, where he was chief data officer, leading the development of its advanced TV and media offerings.

Bob said: “TVSquared has not only built a world-class, always-on platform, but has also worked tirelessly to push the industry out of its comfort zone to change it for the better.

“From the start, TVSquared has focused on one thing – improving TV measurement.
