Ian Osborn, Wosskow Brown Solicitors

Law firm Wosskow Brown Solicitors has appointed Ian Osborn as partner and head of commercial property.

Having trained at an entrepreneurial city law firm in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2012, Ian developed his career at regional law firm Banner Jones where he gained experience of working with a range of clients on complex commercial property transactions, from charities, developers, landlords, lenders, pension funds, tenants and more.

Ian has experience of dealing with comprehensive leasehold matters, including assignments, grants, surrenders, subleases and variations and he has accrued knowledge with regards to freehold or leasehold property leasing, purchase and sale, high-value secured facilities or re-financing products and site acquisition and disposal.

Helen Green and Craig Burrow, Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS)

Property investor and car parking operator Town Centre Securities PLC (TCS) has promoted Helen Green to property director and appointed Craig Burrow as development director.

The promotion of Helen Green to property director comes after 15 years with the business, where she delivered the phased development, regeneration, and growth of TCS’s largest single asset, the 1m sq ft mixed-use Merrion Centre scheme.

More recently she has also managed the extensive refurbishment and rebrand of one of the company’s newest properties, 123 Albion Street.

Helen, who also sits on the board of LeedsBID as a non-executive director and Leeds Chamber of Commerce leadership group, will now oversee the management of the full existing TCS property portfolio across Leeds, Manchester, London and Scotland.

Craig Burrow joins TCS from his previous role as director of Leeds at Bruntwood. He brings a range of experience in managing high-profile acquisitions, investments and redevelopments including the delivery of Platform, 3 Sovereign Square and 100 Wellington Street.

Prior to Bruntwood, Craig was an associate director at DTZ in Leeds and has held positions on boards, committees and steering groups including Yorkshire Property Charitable Trust, Leeds Chamber of Commerce, East Street Arts, Crypt Factor and Yorkshire Property Charity Football.

Craig’s new role will see his 20 years’ experience in the office market progress TCS’s development pipeline including the 3.5 acre Whitehall Riverside project in Leeds and the 12.5 acre Piccadilly Basin scheme in Manchester.

Karen Bach, Consult Red

Technology company Consult Red has appointed Karen Bach as its chairman.

Karen is an experienced chairman and non-executive director with 30 years of experience working in scaleup and blue-chip technology, media and telecoms (TMT) companies.

Before joining Consult Red, Karen was an executive director of growing international businesses serving as CFO for IXEurope Plc (datacentres), ACS Plc (health-tech) and Kewill Plc (logistics tech). Karen trained initially with blue-chip multi-nationals including EDS France and MCI WorldCom.

In addition, Karen is a member of the 30% Club, which supports boards to appoint more female directors and increase the pipeline of upcoming female talent.

Karen is currently chairman of Amino Technologies Plc (media tech) and non-executive director of Datapharm Ltd (healthtech) and Escape Hunt Plc (escape rooms).

Karen explained: “I’m a huge fan of digitalisation and simplification, and I chose to work with the team at Consult Red because of their energy and passion.

Beth Childs and Shauna Towey, Multitask Personnel

Recruitment firm Multitask Personnel has promoted Beth Childs to senior recruiter and appointed Shauna Towey as recruiter.

Beth, who joined the team in 2016, will be responsible for managing client relationships, increasing the candidate database and ensuring the technical team hits the annual forecast.

Beth commented: “I’m delighted to progress into a senior role and be given the chance to develop the technical recruitment division along with Shauna.

“I have been with Multitask since 2016, starting out in an administrator role before working my way up as a recruitment consultant, so it’s a fantastic feeling to be given a division of my own to run.

“I’m so grateful to Claire and the team for their support and advice over the past few years that have enabled me to progress within the business.”
