Durham group lands contracts on £60m South East regeneration project

A group of North East businesses has secured ‘major’ contracts on a multi-million pound regeneration scheme in the South East.

Artech Lighting and Apex Core, part of the Apex Group of companies, have been selected as suppliers for the £60m Egham Gateway regeneration project in Surrey.

The Apex businesses, which are headquartered in Durham, will supply lighting fixtures and fittings and prefabricated utility cupboards at the scheme.

Comprising over 100 homes and over 100 student apartments, Edham Gateway forms part of a £200m development by Runnymede Borough Council to develop the area 19 miles outside the capital.

Apex managing director, Dave Lewis, commented: “This is a really satisfying win for the group and reflects the team effort adopted when targeting these large-scale regeneration projects across the country.

“In the last few months, we’ve put a great deal of effort into developing innovative products that not only help speed up the construction process, but also help to make the project COVID-safe.”
