Elizabeth Rothery, Ryecroft Glenton

Ryecroft Glenton (RG), a North East advisory firm, has announced the appointment of tax director Elizabeth Rothery to further expand its Newcastle-based team.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Liz brings more 15 years’ experience in both private client tax and business tax covering an array of sectors including agriculture, small to medium sized businesses and high net worth individuals.

She delivers tax advice on a range of specialisms including business succession, estate planning and family trusts.

Liz said: “I’m really proud to take on the role of tax director at RG.

“As a very established independent firm with an enviable client base and a strong reputation in the North East, RG was an obvious choice for me when deciding on the next step in my career and I am looking forward to helping the firm continue to grow its tax advisory practice.

Ben Stephens, PG Legal

A North East law firm has announced the addition of Ben Stephens to its litigation team.

Ben, who has been with the firm for three years, now becomes a fully qualified solicitor within its litigation team.

He commented: “I am delighted to have completed my training and to have become a fully qualified solicitor.

“PG Legal is incredibly committed to the training and development of their staff and I have worked alongside many others who have had a positive, well-rounded training experience and have continued their careers with the firm”.

Joanne Nixon, Intelligent Door Solutions

Joanne Nixon has been appointed as site manager of Intelligent Door Solutions’ Thornaby-based manufacturing facility, 20 years after joining the business straight from school.

During her time with the company, Joanne has learned her trade working on the sales counter, as an external representative, business development manager, key account manager, and in several other high-level positions.

As manager of Intelligent Door Solutions’ flagship depot, Joanne will now oversee all operational and administrative requirements.

Joanne commented: “Intelligent Door Solutions is an innovative business and I’m proud to be leading the Thornaby operation.

“We’re ideally placed to meet the increasing demand for quality fire doors and help create safe buildings.

“It’s been a great journey up until this point and I’m excited to see what happens next.”

Steve Harris, Lloyds Bank

Lloyds Bank has appointed Steve Harris as regional director for Yorkshire & the North East.

Steve brings more than three decades of experience in corporate and commercial banking, before joining Lloyds Bank in 2011.

He moves to the post after serving as head of manufacturing in the bank’s Corporate and Institutional Coverage team since 2018.

During his time at the bank, he has also held roles supporting businesses across the whole of the North of England.

Steve said: “Supporting the UK’s SME and mid-corporate businesses is critical as they look to bounce back from the impact of Covid-19 – and tailored support from a trusted banking partner will be key to their success.

“The region is home to some of the most resilient and innovative businesses in the country, and I’m looking forward to building on the strong client and professional relationships we have to drive further growth and recovery.
