First phase of 'major' speculative industrial development in Yorkshire to complete this week
The first phase of a Yorkshire speculative development set to create 80 jobs is set to be completed this week.
Marshall CDP has announced that the first phase of the Kestral Court development near Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport is nearing completion, bringing three new industrial units to the area.
Completion is expected this week and Marshall CDP is currently considering the second phase, offering two further units of 17,000 and 21,000 sq ft.
The overall project, supported by Doncaster MBC’s Business Doncaster service, is expected to create up to 80 new jobs at the five units on site, which are for sale or to let.
Rebecca Schofield, head of the Yorkshire industrial team at Knight Frank, and agent for Kestrel Court, said: “This development, finished to Marshall CDP’s high specification, has delivered accessible, high quality industrial and warehouse space in a secure, and very well-located, environment.
“We continue to see healthy demand for industrial and warehouse space across the region, despite the economic uncertainty around Covid-19.”
Councillor Bill Mordue, cabinet member for business, skills and economic development at Doncaster Council, added: “We are delighted to see the incredible progress that has been made on Kestrel Court.
“It is excellent to see Marshall CDP showing great confidence in the Doncaster economy and the airport site by building this major speculative industrial development scheme.
“Our Business Doncaster team is working closely with Knight Frank to market Kestrel Court and help find tenants for the three units and bring further quality investment and employment into Doncaster.”
