Farmers' market food boutique and chocolate kitchen to bring new flavours to Chelsea
A London property management company has announced that two of its sites are set to open new food stores.
Sloane Stanley, which owns properties across the London area, has announced that Farm Fetch, a farmers’ market style food boutique, will be opening its first concept store on King’s Road in Chelsea in the new year.
Also on King’s Road, Sloane Stanley will see independent luxury chocolate brand Melt Chocolates open a new pop-up kitchen.
The chocolatier has boutique stores in Notting Hill and Holland Park, and retails exclusively in Kensington and Chelsea.
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, commented: “The pandemic has highlighted the importance of community, we need to view this year as an opportunity to engage in meaningful connections, invest in our community and embrace new ideas to reinvigorate retail.
“Within the estate we have been keen to ensure we are responding to the community needs with relevant essential retailers such as Farm Fetch, and embracing local retailers such as Melt.
“This approach is embedded in our leasing strategy, allowing Sloane Stanley to respond to demand, move fluidly with tenants across the estate, support retailers with flexible leases and rents, and pivot to address the challenges of Covid-19.”
Ennio Lizzi, founder of Farm Fetch, said: “Our brand was born from that emotional and nostalgic feeling when you go on a gastronomic holiday and eat exceptionally well discovering new tastes and flavours.
“With many people not being able to travel abroad or having to cancel holidays, we realised now was the perfect time to launch our concept in London.
“Sharing the best quality produce, carefully selected, to customers with discerning tastes, we wanted to launch our retail concept somewhere that reflected taste, flavours and quality.
“The King’s Road epitomises these values in abundance and we are looking forward to providing our tailored service and products of excellence to the community of Chelsea.”
Andrew Nason, CEO of Melt Chocolates, added: “At Melt Chocolates, we are keen to bring a little bit of luxury to the Chelsea community with our handmade chocolates by world-class chocolatiers.
“Chocolate is the perfect lockdown food to stockpile, providing many with a moral boost and energy.
“Since lockdown we have worked hard to keep our business growing, and after launching a successful online offer direct from our kitchens of chocolate tasting experiences, we feel now is the time to expand our services and spread our offer to the community in and around the King’s Road.”
