New jobs to come to Yorkshire with opening of Beverley convenience store
A new convenience store is set to create 10 jobs as it plans to open in a Yorkshire shopping centre.
The new One Stop is due to open in February at the Flemingate centre in Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Fitting out of the 1,980 sq ft unit will start next week, led by Hull-based Wykeland Group, owner and developer of Flemingate.
David Donkin, property director at Wykeland, commented: “One Stop will add to and complement the existing mix of retail, leisure and office uses at Flemingate and provide an important service to shoppers, workers and local people.
“It will be a place where local residents and visitors to Flemingate can shop safely for groceries and essential household items, during the current Covid restrictions, and will continue to provide a valued service as normality returns.
“It is also creating new jobs and bringing further investment into Beverley, building on the positive impact Flemingate has had on the local economy.”
A One Stop spokesperson said: “The new convenience store will provide the Flemingate community with quality products and great deals on everyday items.”
