400 homes set to be created as work starts on North Shields development
Work has begun on a development that will create a community of nearly 400 homes in North Shields.
Homebuilder Miller Homes has started work on a project which will create a community of 399 new homes on Norham Road in North Shields.
The development, known as Collingwood Grange, will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes.
As part of the new development, Miller Homes will be making contributions of £348k to benefit local infrastructure, including highway improvements to the Norham Road/Norham Road North Corridor and the provision of a bus shelter to the existing Norham Road bus stop.
Lindsey Oliver, sales manager at Miller Homes North East, commented: “It’s really exciting to be bringing new homes to North Shields.
“It’s an area close to our hearts as it’s where our regional office has been based for a number of years.
“Since we announced the development was coming soon there’s been a huge amount of interest.
“Over 1,000 people registered their interest to be amongst the first to receive updates and information on our sales launch.
“Since launching last weekend there’s already been 10 reservations. House hunters are responding well to our new house styles, and this is one of the first developments in the region to have them.
“We can’t wait to reveal the show home we’re working on, which will be one of the new styles, and due to launch in early spring.”
