Uberall appoints SaaS veteran Tijs van Santen as Chief Customer Officer

Following a strong 2020, company continues to build all-star executive team for the next phase of growth

4 Feb 2021, London – Uberall, the leading provider of ‘Near Me’ Brand Experience (NMBX) marketing solutions, today announced the appointment of Tijs van Santen as its new Chief Customer Officer. In his new position, van Santen will help further drive Uberall’s company growth through an increased focus on creating more value for its customers, from small business owners to multinational corporations.

Tijs joins Uberall after many years building and leading go-to-market teams for high performing technology businesses, including HP, Forrester Research, Impact and Button. At Forrester, in his role as VP Global Sales, Tijs led a newly created global sales operation across the US, Europe and Asia for Forrester’s largest and most strategic enterprise accounts. At California-based start-up, Impact, Tijs oversaw the transition to a pure SaaS go-to-market strategy in his capacity as Chief Revenue Officer. He helped Impact become the global market leader in performance software by growing the business over 1200% in four years. Similarly, Tijs helped mobile commerce platform Button grow 400% during his two years as CRO, prior to joining Uberall.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Tijs to the Uberall family,” said Florian Hübner, co-founder and CEO of Uberall. “As we continue to scale up as a company and propel innovation for our customers, Tijs’ extensive go-to-market and SaaS knowledge as well as his expertise and experience in exponentially growing customer and partner value, make him exactly the right fit for us.”

“I am thrilled to be joining Uberall at such an exciting stage of their journey,” said Tijs van Santen, Chief Customer Officer, Uberall. “Customer value is Uberall’s North Star, and I am committed to building a unique, seamless and complete end-to-end journey for all our customers and enable them to create the best possible ‘Near Me’ Brand Experience for their business. Uberall has an incredibly well-established core, and I look forward to building on this to drive exciting change and help the company evolve and grow, all the while making a difference for our customers, partners, employees and shareholders.”

Tijs comes on board following a very challenging 2020 for many of Uberall’s customers and partners in retail, hospitality, tourism and other industries that were faced with a dramatically different B2C and B2B landscape. Through its solutions, Uberall was able to help its customers remain agile and responsive, and itself saw 30% YoY growth. The company is now doubling-down and investing aggressively for the next phase of growth, as economies and markets are set for a strong recovery later this year.
