Iain Kilner, Integral IT

IT services provider Integral IT has appointed Iain Kilner as service delivery manager.

Iain has more than 30 years’ IT experience both at enterprise and SME level. Having started his career in technical positions, he went on to spend 13 years setting up and running his own Harrogate-based IT support business, Digital Media Infrastructure.

Iain was also general manager of interactive digital signage platform SignStix in Leeds for two years. His specialisms include network infrastructure, installation and support.

In his new role, Iain will be responsible for managing Integral’s team of engineers on a day-to-day basis and for enhancing customer service by acting as an escalation point for operational issues.

Jonathan Edwards, managing director of Integral IT, commented: “Demand for the services of a reliable IT partner like Integral has really accelerated over the last year and having someone on board with Iain’s vast experience will help us to continue to expand, while also remaining customer-focused.

Harriet Frank, Carter Jonas

Property consultancy Carter Jonas has appointed Harriet Frank as a senior planner.

Harriet joins from Stone + Associates and previously Nineteen47, where she was a senior planner and planner respectively. Prior to that, she was a planning officer at the North York Moors National Park Authority.

With over six years of planning experience in both the public and private sectors, Harriet offers advice on all aspects of town and country planning. Her specialism is in rural planning and development, helping landowners to identify ways in which they can diversify their existing business and maximise the potential of their assets through the planning system.

Harriet is proficient in preparing a range of planning applications from the initial pre-application enquiry submissions to discharge of condition applications, and everything in between. Additionally, she has knowledge on the planning constraints surrounding Article 2 Land and can offer specialist advice on this matter.

Kelly Wharin, MD Law

Commercial law firm MD Law has promoted Kelly Wharin to partner.

Kelly joined the commercial practice in January 2018 and has over a decade of experience. She has built a record of working with companies and individuals, and dealing with a range of disputes and litigation, regularly instructed in high value actions.

Kelly graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2003 and started her career as a trainee in 2005, qualifying in 2007.

Kelly commented: “Not only do I enjoy the variety and quality of the work we deal with at MD Law but I have also been privileged to have been involved in the management of the business, including supervising the two trainees we have.

“The people make the firm here and it is a fantastic team. I am delighted to be promoted to partner. I feel, ever since I started here, that my opinion has really mattered. I look forward to seeing the firm grow further.”

Katie Evans, Aberfield Communications

PR agency Aberfield Communications has appointed Katie Evans as PR consultant.

Katie joins the team from Jaywing in Leeds, where she worked as a senior PR executive delivering digital PR campaigns across a range of industries including technology, e-commerce and travel.

Katie’s digital PR portfolio includes securing 200+ pieces of coverage for a campaign for travel provider, Florida4Less, and securing a front-page feature in the Sunday Times for Good Move.

Commenting on her recent appointment, Katie said: “I’m really looking forward to working with the team at Aberfield!

“I have wanted to take a step away from typical SEO PR campaigns and explore a more holistic approach to PR and marketing as my next career move for a while now, and Aberfield is an agency that really stood out to me as the perfect mix of digital and traditional PR. I’m excited to get stuck in and start working on a great range of clients.”

Ross Malkin, Knight Frank

Property consultancy Knight Frank has appointed Ross Malkin as a partner.

Ross joins from CBRE in London, where he was a director specialising in retail and mixed- use property management, having previously worked at British Land.

Ross commented: “This is a major move and a tremendous opportunity for me. I am delighted to have the chance to join Knight Frank and am ready to develop my career further with this internationally renowned property consultancy.
