New digital fitness platform reports impressive growth in initial launch period as demand for online classes continues to soar
Revolutionary digital fitness platform, Class-ify, has reported impressive growth in its first six months since launch, as the demand for online classes continues to soar. Founded in November 2020 by three former Just Eat employees, Class-ify enables fitness instructors to build their own business online from a laptop or smartphone device, by monetising their audiences and creating a global community.
Since launch, Class-ify has raised £350,000 in angel funding and, in the month of April 2021 alone, it created £50,000 in revenue for instructors.
The business grew its revenue by 104% from February to March 2021 and has already partnered with over 100 instructors in 12 countries around the world, all of whom have been awarded shares in the company.
To continue its growth trajectory, Class-ify has kicked off a new seed funding round, through which it is hoping to raise £1million to £1.5million. The business’ success since launching supports research from Technavio which suggests the global interactive and digital fitness industry is expected to grow by nearly £4billion between 2020 and 2024[1].
Daniel Stott, CEO and co-founder of Class-ify, said: “We launched Class-ify in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic to support instructors whose incomes had been negatively impacted by helping them pivot their business online, and cater for the growing demand for online fitness and wellness classes as a result of mass gym closures.
“Despite gyms now being able to reopen in many countries, we have paying members in 35 countries worldwide, as people have discovered they enjoy a mix of both in-person and online classes.
“We could never have imagined the speed of growth we would experience and how successful the business would become in such a short amount of time. This is largely down to the amazing instructors that have built their communities through Class-ify. “We have lots of exciting plans ahead, including the launch of a new product to be announced later this month, and we cannot wait to continue on our mission to revolutionise the fitness industry.”
