Shoppers, savvy gift givers and tourists reminded to take advantage of VAT cuts by major Liverpool attraction

Government help for pubs, restaurants and other non-essential retail businesses is set to change.

Hospitality businesses were hit particularly hard by the pandemic but helpful measures outlined in the Budget by Chancellor Rishi Sunak back in March, which included extending the VAT cuts for the hospitality sector, will be replaced on October 1.

At the end of this month, the VAT reduction will increase from 5% to 12.5% - which is still below the normal rate of 20% - for a further six months.

As a result, Liverpool’s RLB360 attraction has put on an offer to remind visitors and finance-savvy gift givers to take advantage of the cuts while they still can.

Operations manager Chris Devaney said: “Royal Liver Building 360 is offering £5 off gift vouchers to remind guests to take advantage of the final month of the temporary 5% VAT.”

Heritage Great Britain, who run the RLB360 attraction at the world-famous Royal Liver Building, say a visit will be sure to delight those of every and any generation.

The iconic building sits at the heart of Liverpool’s stunning waterfront and is a symbol of the city, its history and people.

Now, as part of the RLB360 attraction, which was recently awarded a TripAdvisor Travellers choice award, you can explore Europe’s first ever skyscraper while immersing yourself in the building’s history through interactive displays.

You will also receive a guided tour to the tenth and fifteenth floors to enjoy spectacular 360° views of the skyline and overlook the Three Graces from a building standing at more than 300ft to the top of the spires.

A world-class digital projection show has been installed inside the historic clock tower and is an encapsulating experience for the young and old too.

With lights, sounds and digital effects, this experience brings the history of the Royal Liver Building to life right in front of you with a captivating tale of Liverpool’s past and how a city full of culture, sport, history and music has made its mark on the world and evolved into the city you see today.

The RLB360 visitor centre is free to enter, regardless of whether or not you intend to tour the building and you can choose to spend time learning about the history of the Royal Liver Building here while enjoying an interactive photo experience.
