This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes Escapism Bar Group, CLOUD NINE, LCF Law, and Airedale Chemical. Read on to find out more.
Charlotte Ramsden and Emily Goff, Escapism Bar Group
Escapism Bar Group has welcomed Charlotte Ramsden as sales and events manager and Emily Goff as social media assistant as part of the company’s latest recruitment drive.
These two new hires follow other team changes, with the promotion of Kate Wilby to sales manager, and the recent onboarding of Heather Brown as reservations manager.
Grant Dexter, operations director at Escapism Bar Group, commented: “During the pandemic we spent our time wisely, working to build recognition of our individual brands, addressing the areas of the business which were not working, and implementing our new learning and development programme, Barback to Boardroom.
“Focusing on upskilling our people has paid dividends regarding our performance, as a result we have had our best financial year yet, recording 30 per cent growth compared to 2019. Every time we could open, we did, under whatever format we were allowed to, and this has really helped us to keep going and maintain a thriving business.
“The arrival of Charlotte and Emily marks another step forward for us to support with our ever-increasing sales pipeline, as we focus on growing our outbound strategy for the business.”
Charlotte Ramsden who takes the role as sales and events manager, has over ten years’ experience working at brands such as ibis, TUI and Mercure Hotels.
New social media assistant Emily Goff is the second person who has taken part in the Barback to Boardroom initiative, after previously holding a position as a supervisor at Mean-Eyed Cat Bar.
Laura Proctor, CLOUD NINE
Laura Proctor has been appointed as group brand and marketing manager at CLOUD NINE. The company employs a workforce of more than 60 at its North Yorkshire headquarters in Harrogate.
With a growing celebrity following, CLOUD NINE was also the official hair partner of ITV reality programme Love Island’s latest series in 2021. Since then, it has welcomed contestant Mary Bedford as its own brand ambassador.
Laura Proctor, group brand and marketing manager, commented on her new role: “CLOUD NINE is a brand I am extremely passionate about and I’m thrilled to be joining the team – this is an exciting opportunity, and I can’t wait to support the brand on its growth journey.”
Jo Fox, group sales and marketing director, said: “We are delighted to bring Laura on board to strengthen our proposition and level up our overall marketing approach. Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with her; her arrival in the business will bring real value to our future strategy and goals.”
Laura, who has worked in marketing for over nine years, across a range of clients such as The Inkey List, Bupa, RSA Insurance, Jet2 and CLOUD NINE. For the last six years, she has worked for IMA HOME. During this time, she has successfully planned and implemented campaigns and strategies for a range of high-profile clients.
In her previous role, Laura was the Account Director of the CLOUD NINE account at IMA HOME, where she ran last year’s ‘Fiercely You’ campaign for CLOUD NINE. This iconic campaign advocated freeing yourself from the pressure of perfectionism and celebrating your own style.
Catherine Schofield, LCF Law
Catherine Scholfield joins LCF Law from a Leeds based firm where she worked for seven years providing legal advice to clients on a wide range of cases including debt recovery, contract disputes, landlord and tenant disputes and insolvency.
Catherine said: “The career progression and opportunity to work with such experienced litigators at LCF Law made it an exciting career move for me. LCF Law is well known for its litigation work and takes a practical and cost-effective approach to client work, which I really admire.
“I’m looking forward to working alongside Ragan Montgomery, Tom Edwards and the rest of the team for both individual clients who might be challenging a will or have a boundary dispute for example, and for SMEs and larger organisations on a range of commercial property disputes.”
Head of disputes, Charles Abraham, added: “Catherine is a diligent and driven solicitor who is keen to expand her litigation work. She will primarily work alongside two of the six partners within our team.
“Ragan and Tom help people settle wealth disputes concerning wills, trusts and inheritance and also represent clients in residential and commercial property litigation matters, so there will be plenty of variety and depth to the cases Catherine will work on.”
David Harker and Cecily Moffat, Airedale Chemical
Chemical manufacturer and distributor, Airedale Chemical, has strengthened its dedicated procurement team with the appointment of two new positions, reflecting the increase in demand experienced over the last 24 months.
David Harker joins the company as procurement manager and with more than six years of experience in manufacturing and construction buying, he will assist in the development of purchasing systems to maximise efficiency throughout the department.
He explained: “The procurement department has become increasingly busy and it was clear that the team needed additional support.
“I will be managing relationships with existing and potential suppliers which are absolutely key to our success and can make a huge difference to keeping the continuation of supply of key chemicals which are essential to retaining the trust and custom of our clients.
David is joined by Cecily Moffat who fills the role of procurement administrator with five years in industry since graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in property planning and development.
Cecily said: “I am bringing several years of administrative experience to the role which will help with the smooth running of this very busy department, but I am really looking forward to the role developing over the coming weeks and months and learning more about the function of procurement in the business and becoming more involved in the procurement of goods and services into Airedale Chemical.”
