East London based sustainable spirits company completes re-brand and expansion to product line
East London-based ethical spirits company, 58 Gin, has re-branded to 58 and Co. following an overhaul of its product range to better represent its company values, champion its collaborative ventures and support category diversification.
The re-brand coincides with becoming a B-Corp certified operation, a landmark achievement for the distillery which underpins its wider business plan for growth, which has its focus on strategic partnerships with other ethically and sustainably sound drinks producers, alongside the development of its core spirits range.
58 and Co. will build upon its six-year award-winning distilling history, including being named UK Gin Producer of the Year 2020, to bring new collaborative Limited Edition spirits to market. This includes the 2022 release of a series of small batch premium, authentic Shōchū, using Kanpai London’s pressed kasu, expected later this year.
The distillery’s plan to aid expansion through diversification into different spirit categories sees its core range enhanced with the addition of a Triple Distilled Vodka with hints of clotted cream and biscuit, which will sit alongside its premium London Dry, Apple & Hibiscus and Navy Strength Gins.
The distiller has also introduced a new look for its house gin and vodka bottles, designed with bartenders in mind to allow for efficient speed rail usage, and product will be delivered in eco-pouches to further reduce the carbon footprint of its volume service.
58 and Co.‘s premises, based in London’s Haggerston, beneath the railway arches will be updated and will include a front of house distillery shop counter complete with spirit refill service. This will allow ease of purchase for the local community as well as those visiting its award-winning London Gin School and Gin Tasting sessions.
Carmen O’Neal, founder, 58 and Co. said: “We’re absolutely delighted to unveil our new brand, which we feel truly represents our values, approach and future direction.
“We’re incredibly proud of our sustainability efforts, collaborative approach to spirit making and community focus, and achieving B.Corp status is wonderful, particularly given the challenges that we’ve faced during the pandemic.
“Moving forward we’re excited to continue distilling some of the best and most meticulously made spirits in the UK, ensuring this is done in the right way, wherever we can, for people, planet and purpose.”
