Fenwick Newcastle launches Arthur’s Restaurant & Music Club as part of 140th anniversary celebrations
Fenwick Newcastle today unveils its next series of events and experiences as it launches Arthur’s Restaurant & Music Club, a new entertainment destination for dining, music, immersive events and more.
Continuing Fenwick’s 140th anniversary celebrations, Arthur’s Restaurant & Music Club will host themed dining and music events one weekend a month with the opening weekend bringing two show-stopping evenings inspired by the prohibition era on May 6 and 7.
Guests are invited to channel their “inner Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan” with a front-row seat for a three-course meal inspired by the era, live music, flapper girl dancers and prohibition themed cocktails.
Tickets are available now and priced at £50 with the ticket price including a prohibition-style drink on arrival, a three-course dinner, and a half-bottle of wine during the meal. On the night, guests can expect entertainment from Michael Lamb’s Strictly Smokin’ Tiny Big Band, who are the only ensemble of their kind in the North of England.
On selected weekends throughout the year from Saturday May 14, Arthur’s will be transformed into an elegant oasis of tea and cake. This begins with a choice of fine tea or aromatic coffee, or a flute of bubbly with the Sparkling Afternoon Tea, followed by sandwiches with a variety of fillings that “offer a twist on the traditional flavours”.
For the next scene, we present Fenwick 140 Circus inspired fine patisseries and for the closing act, a true crowd-pleaser as miniature scones arrive at the table, ready to welcome layers of creamy clotted cream and a generous dollop of Fenwick’s very own jam.
Kieran McBride, Fenwick Newcastle store director said: “We’ve had a fantastic start to our 140th anniversary celebrations and we are incredibly excited to introduce our next venture in the form of Arthur’s - our brand-new immersive experiences destination.
“Our vision for Arthur’s is to bring unexpected immersive experiences to the store with a variety of events including monthly themed music and dining evenings, decadent afternoon teas, and much much more. Keep an eye on our social channels as we release information on future events and experiences.”
