Ex BBC Producer shares the secret to successful videography in new book, Resonance

An ex-Producer and Director for major networks, BBC and Channel 4, has released a new book revealing the secret to successful videography.

Available on Amazon, the new book titled ‘Resonance’ provides a 5-step guide to help brands create video content that engages with their target audience.

Written by George Hughes, now the Founder of Small Films, a video agency specialising in the food and beverage sector, Resonance draws on the experiences from George’s own impressive career that saw him travel around the world filming a wide variety of different subjects - from witchdoctors in the Amazon to extreme fishing in Costa Rica.

Providing insight into his honed craft of creating content that resonates with people, the book also provides:

  • A bullet-proof roadmap from idea to implementation and launch
  • A step-by-step process to create the ultimate briefing document so all stakeholders are crystal clear on what’s needed and why
  • The strategy used by the top 1% of marketers to consistently get results with video.

Discussing the launch of Resonance, George said: “For many brands, creating video content is expensive, stressful, and time-consuming, with very few achieving their desired result – particularly as online platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Google have become increasingly competitive.

I wrote Resonance to solve this problem and to help businesses understand how to tell their story in a way that really reaches and engages with their target audience, whilst achieving a strong ROI. I have received positive feedback from a number of marketers to date and I am hopeful the book it utilised as a valuable resource for months and years to come.“

Established in 2016, Small Films has secured an impressive client portfolio including supermarket giant, Aldi, Gressingham Duck and Mackies Ice-cream.

Since inception, the agency has grown 40% year-on-year and has successfully generated over 30 million views and raised millions of pounds in revenue for clients from impactful video content.
