Investment boost for Fun Fest franchise
A leading children’s holiday hub and nursery brand has received financial support from an expert investor with help from Mincoffs Solicitors’ corporate team.
Ofsted registered Fun Fest, headquartered in Solihull, specialises in running child-led activities during its holiday clubs, before and after school clubs, parties and nurseries at locations across the UK.
And the brand’s goals to expand beyond its 20 existing franchises are in its sights after receiving a financial boost from investor and mentor, Mark Rasche.
Along with an impressive background in successfully franchising health fitness sport enterprises, Mark has vast experience helping businesses in sport, leisure, education and children’s activities and is a consultant in the children’s sector.
Fun Fest offers more than 80 activities for 3 to 12-year-olds throughout the year, including archery, animal encounters, go-karting, music maestros, circus training, crafty creations, mini Olympics and more, and Mark sees huge potential in the brand.
“I’ve worked with Fun Fest in the past and have a huge amount of experience in that sector, so I realised quickly it was something I wanted to get involved with,” he said.
“Joining the business as an investor proved to be quite complicated so finding the right legal representatives was imperative and the team at Mincoffs were a great partner to have, going above and beyond to make sure we got the right result.
“There were times when I wasn’t sure the deal would even go through but Mincoffs were always ready to find an alternative solution to any issues that arose and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again in the future.”
John Nicholson, a Partner in the corporate team at Mincoffs, lead the deal along with Partner, Chris Hughes.
“We are delighted to have helped Mark invest in Fun Fest and I’m sure it will be an excellent addition to his existing business portfolio,” said John.
“We have a great deal of experience in handling complex deals such as this one so we were ready and prepared to advise and assist on any hurdles that came up in the process, to ensure that the deal was completed as smoothly as possible for all parties involved.”
