This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes RWO, Ficep UK and Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust. Read on to find out more.

A firm of Leeds civil and structural engineers has strengthened its team as it continues to invest in skills and technical expertise as part of planned strategic growth.
Matt Thackray and Alastair Neil join Park Square based RWO as structural Revit technicians, bringing experience of liaising with architects, subcontractor designers and other technical disciplines as well as engineering design expertise, to the roles.
Key responsibilities will include working with the company’s engineers to produce Revit models and structural steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber drawings from initial concept stage through to the construction phase on a variety of projects.
Also joining the office is Morgan Mellor, who has been appointed as a graduate structural engineer. Currently working towards attaining chartered engineer status, he will provide engineering design services on a range of industrial, offices and residential housing projects as well as undertake structural survey and alterations work.
Louisa Gardner comes in as a new administration assistant providing office support and back-up.

Three directors with 38 years’ combined experience of working at Yorkshire based steel fabrication machinery supplier, Ficep UK, have been appointed to the board to take the business forward into its next chapter of innovation and growth.
Finance director Pam Allen, sales director Chris Berriman, and operations director Richard Clark, now take responsibility for the management of the Castleford based business, the UK’s leading steel fabrication machinery supplier, along with existing company director and group CEO, Christian Colombo.
Finance director Pam Allen leads on developing, implementing, and overseeing the financial reporting processes for the business. Pam joined Ficep UK in 2010 working on accounting projects before she took the permanent position of accounts manager, working her way up to become finance director this year.
Sales director Chris Berriman joined Ficep UK as area sales manager for the north of England, in 2003. After six years Chris became UK sales manager responsible for a team of area sales managers. Chris is also in charge of sales and marketing as well as budget management and company turnover.
Operations director Richard Clark, joined as service manager in 2015. Richard is responsible for budgeting for the operational side of the business, covering spare parts sales, on demand work, service contracts and tooling and vending which is growing year on year.
Christian Colombo, Ficep group CEO, says, “Pam, Chris and Richard are highly qualified and have demonstrated their wisdom in their respective areas as well as in the industry as a whole. They have already played an integral role in getting the business to the stage it is at now and have the drive and ambition to take it further forward.”
David Morley, Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust
Doncaster Culture & Leisure Trust will strengthen its training offering and position as an employer of choice after appointing a new training & development manager. David Morley joins DCLT to work within the HR team to create and deliver a comprehensive training strategy to grow, retain and develop talented staff.
He has 30 years of experience in a range of roles including a variety of logistics businesses covering products from beer and computers to car parts. David holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, PGCE and NEBOSH, among other qualifications.
His role will include promoting high levels of staff engagement, development, wellbeing and performance. He will also complete and deliver a Training Needs Analysis and review and implement an appraisal process for all DCLT employees.
David said: “I’m thrilled to be able to progress my career in an exciting role with DCLT that allows me to be involved with the training and development of colleagues. I have previously delivered business improvement and operational cost savings by creating innovative solutions through organised and self-motivated teams.
Michael Hart, chief executive of DCLT, added: “We are very pleased to welcome David to the DCLT team and know he will do a fantastic job overseeing the training and development of our wonderful team.”
