(L - R): Kellie Page and Harry Rhodes, Aceso Health and Group Risk
Employee benefits provider Aceso Health and Group Risk has made two new appointments, expanding the team at its Leeds head office and boosting its apprenticeship programme.
Kellie Page has joined the firm as group risk account executive. She joins Aceso with over 20 years’ experience in financial services and almost a decade specialising in group risk, the insurance employers take out to protect staff for death in service, critical illness, group income protection and employee sickness insurance.
School leaver Harry Rhodes has also joined Aceso’s Leeds office, gaining a place on the firm’s apprenticeship programme after GCSEs as a healthcare and group risk administrator.
Aceso executive director Mike Picken commented: “Many of us at Aceso were colleagues of Kellie’s working together at Henderson Insurance Brokers, which was acquired by Aon. With her vast knowledge and experience of group risk, it is great to welcome her as a member of the team.”
“We are also really pleased to welcome Harry on board at what we hope will be the start of a long career with Aceso. Harry has enormous potential and he is being mentored by Aceso’s first apprentice Aaron Barton who has had a fantastic first year with us.”
(L - R): Sonia Jones and Hayley Firth, McCormicks Solicitors
North Yorkshire law firm McCormicks Solicitors of Harrogate has strengthened its management team with a new practice manager and accounts manager.
Sonia Jones has been promoted to practice manager to reflect her work in supporting all activities across the firm, including management, human resources and the smooth running of day-to-day activities.
Senior partner Peter McCormick commented: “Sonia joined us in 2007 and has become more and more involved in the management of the firm so it was a logical step to reward her for all her hard work with this promotion.”
Sonia also assists with the practice’s charitable work, most notably the firm’s flagship charity, the Yorkshire Young Achievers Foundation. She became a Trustee of the Foundation in 2012, having previously supported the charity as Secretary to the Trustees, and continues to fulfil both duties.
Hayley Firth has been appointed as accounts manager. She will work with accounts assistant Hollie Jackson to ensure the smooth running of the accounts department.
Chloe Arnett, Fishtank Agency
Integrated digital marketing specialist Fishtank Agency underlined its commitment to supporting the next generation by appointing a new junior member to its team.
Joining the team is Chloe Arnett, a Graphic Design graduate of the University of Lincoln. Chloe will undertake a digital marketing apprenticeship through Leeds based training and development provider Estio Training which will involve off-the-job development, such as marketing principles and coding sessions.
Chloe was drawn to Fishtank after seeing its impactful marketing campaigns for City Taxis and Tubex, as well as its inviting culture and past work with graduates and apprentices.
Ola Tambor, head of digital at Fishtank Agency, commented: “Chloe’s application and interview manner immediately made her stand out in the apprentice applicants that Estio had approached us with.”
Chloe added: “Everyone at Fishtank has been so supportive since my first day. Whenever I have any questions or worries, someone is always willing to drop whatever they’re doing to help me get back on the right track.
“I’ve enjoyed every aspect of day-to-day activities so far, and can’t wait to contribute towards creative marketing campaigns like Going Places with City Taxis and Tubex Collection and Recycling Programme - Integrated Launch Campaign.”
