Rachel Lowe, John Good Group
John Good Group is excited to announce that Rachel Lowe has joined the Group as Chief People Officer. Rachel brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in human resources, having previously held leadership roles at Victoria Plum, Ramsden International and other leading Blue Chip Companies.
As chief people officer, Rachel will be responsible for driving new ideas and initiatives to enhance the development and growth of our team members. She will also be leading the implementation of various programs designed to support the professional development of our workforce.
Rachel explains her reasons for joining the group, “I am thrilled to be joining the John Good Group as chief people officer. This is an exciting time to be joining the organisation, as it is full of ambitious plans and projects that will have a positive impact on not only the team members within the group but also the communities that we support.”

Kelsey Dobson, Rachel Walton & Lucy McDowall, Chatter Communications
Leeds-based employer branding specialists Chatter Communications has appointed three new team-members.
Kelsey Dobson has joined as senior account manager and will work on clients including Yorkshire Building Society, the NHS and McLaren Racing. She joins from the NHS, where she worked in Comms and Engagement, and has also worked in brand marketing at Arla Foods as well as earlier roles at several PR agencies.
Joining the Chatter team in a newly created production manager role is Rachel Walton, who brings with her a decade of experience working in a range of creative and marketing agencies. In the new role she will manage all of the planning for the agency’s creative work, acting as the lynchpin between the client services and creative teams, encouraging greater collaboration to craft and deliver the very best creative solutions.
Lucy McDowall has also begun a new role at Chatter as an account executive. With a year’s experience as an engagement coordinator in marketing and events, she will join the client services team working on several of Chatter’s key client accounts.
Nadia Pluck, head of agency operations, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Kelsey, Rachel and Lucy on board, who all bring with them a wealth of experience and insight. We have more new recruits starting in 2023 as we continue to onboard exciting new clients and projects we’re very much looking forward to what the new year will bring!”
James Hastings, Aon plc
Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, has appointed James Hastings as broking director in its Leeds-based advisory team.
James, formerly new business broking director at Attis Insurance Brokers, joins with 18 years’ experience. In his former role, James was responsible for establishing the group’s agencies and broking for all new business.
Prior to joining Attis, James spent eight years at Romero where he was promoted to associate director new business broking. His remit included the broking of new business cases and involved all classes of general insurance and premiums, ranging from mid corporates to corporate sized risk. In addition, James has also worked as an exam questions writer for the Chartered Institute of Insurance.
In his new role at Aon, James will draw on his vast experience and meet with insurers, broker new and existing clients’ business, and assist brokers with placement in the insurance market.
James Fell, Head of Aon’s Leeds Tingley and Harrogate offices said: “Employees are at the heart of Aon and adding to the team’s extensive experience and expertise means we are best placed to meet the needs of our clients in Yorkshire and across the UK. James has a strong insurance background combined with an enviable understanding of the local market.”
