Newcastle based property consultancy creates new jobs with Leeds office launch

Newcastle based property specialist, George F. White has expanded its footprint in Yorkshire with the opening of a new Leeds office, creating five jobs.

The firm’s expansion into Leeds comes following significant growth from its existing client base across the North East and Yorkshire, in particular the demand for commercial and development services.

The George F. White team will be based at 34 Boar Lane, supporting clients on a local level and harnessing opportunities for growth. The new Leeds office offers clients a unique and multi-disciplinary service offering, with a focus on commercial property, planning consultancy, architecture and development.

Clients benefit from further expertise from the wider George F. White team which includes services such as sustainability as well as rural and residential property. In addition to the initial five new hires joining the office, there are also opportunities for commercial and development specialists to join the team.

Richard Garland, partner at George F. White, commented: “Our expansion into Leeds is a milestone for the business as it sees us expand our Yorkshire offering. Leeds is a fantastic city and having a physical presence here will allow us to better support our clients as well as take advantage of new opportunities.

“The commercial property market in Leeds is incredibly active and full of exciting prospects for not only the business, but for our clients. Following our merger with Johnson Tucker LLP last year, we are now one of the largest independent, specialist commercial property teams in the North of England.

“Our highly experienced team offers a service meeting all their commercial needs in one place and we are delighted to be creating career opportunities for more people to join us. Our expansion is all down to the success of our talented team, which is something that we as a business are very proud of.”

Managing director Sally Hart added: “We are on an exciting growth trajectory and our move into Leeds is the first step into our wider plans to expand our reach across Yorkshire and create more jobs.

“Our longer-term plan is for this new office to become our Yorkshire hub and expand on the same scale as our Newcastle office, which over the past five years, has seen a 500 per cent increase in workforce due to client demand for a broader range of specialist services.

“It may be ambitious, but we have confidence that there are strong opportunities for growth across Yorkshire which has such a diverse market.”
