A Midlands accountancy firm is celebrating a raft of promotions across its team following a period of sustained growth. Prime Accountants Group has promoted Leigh Dudley and Paul Guise to directors from their previous roles as associate directors.
Paul joined Prime, which has offices in Solihull, Birmingham and Coventry, in 2015 where he started as an account manager in the audit and accounts department. In 2017, Paul was promoted to senior manager, followed by another promotion to associate director in 2021.
Working alongside Paul in the audits and accounts division, Leigh qualified in 2003, joining Prime in August 2016 after working for more than 17 years in general practice. Martin Farrell has also been promoted to senior payroll manager in Prime’s payroll department, while Paislei Godley has been promoted to senior manager for tax advisory.
There have also been several promotions in the audit and accounts department, with Emma Abbotts promoted to senior manager; Liam Hackett promoted to manager and both Emma Pithouse and Natalija Carlsson promoted to assistant manager.

Nigel Fitzpatrick and Debbie Power, Hilton Smythe
Greater Manchester based Hilton Smythe has hired two business experts to join its expanding growing corporate team, specialising in M&A. Nigel Fitzpatrick and Debbie Power have become the sixth and seventh members of Hilton Smythe’s growing corporate transactions team, joining as directors.
Nigel, originally from Burnley, built up his knowledge and expertise following 16 years of working for a business brokerage in Spain. He commented: “I’m thrilled to be working at Hilton Smythe and adding my expertise to a growing team that will thrive in years to come.”
Also, with experience working abroad, Debbie, from Rochdale, joins Hilton Smythe after successfully leading a team in Dubai. Debbie said: “Since leaving university, I have taken on many different roles. Advising a business on its sales strategy is a real strength of mine.
“A friend recommended Hilton Smythe and told me about its new corporate division, which immediately appealed to me – so here I am!”

Daniel De Block, Navigation Wealth Management
Navigation Wealth Management has announced the appointment of a new financial adviser. Daniel De Block has over 17 years’ experience in the financial services industry, having previously worked at several major high street banks.
He joins the UK based firm from Santander where he provided holistic financial advice and guidance to clients across Lancashire, including in and around Ashton-under-Lyne, Oldham, Hyde and Bury as well as in Pudsey near Bradford.
Matt Hammond, chief executive at Navigation Wealth, commented: “We are delighted that Daniel has accepted our invitation to become part of our growing company. His knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to our clients as we expand our operations into Lancashire and across the UK.”
Navigation Wealth, which provides holistic wealth management advice to personal and business clients across the UK, has seen rapid growth over the last 3 years, with offices in Wakefield and Beverley, and has a growing client base in the North West.
