Chicken wings restaurant chain celebrates recent growth ahead of expansion
Arif, Zahirul and Faisal, co-founders of chicken wings restaurant chain WNGZ, are celebrating substantial recent growth as they look ahead to further expansion.
After launching the brand in the latter half of 2021, they consecutively opened outlets in Stratford, Poplar, Camden & the latest one in Clapton. Each new branch has quickly become a “crowd-favoured” food destination in those areas. Brand founders Arif and Zahirul come from a hospitality background and have experience and knowledge about the food industry.
Arif acts as operations director and uses his background in real estate to continually find prime locations for stores to ensure maximum foot traffic. Zahirul is the finance & legal director and uses his experience in business and exports to ensure their enterprise remains profitable.
The duo saw a gap in the market for American-style wings and therefore the brand WNGZ was born. They are now working towards becoming “one of the biggest and most popular” chicken-based fast-food brands in the UK.
Zahirul commented: “I had experience in this industry as I co-own Quirky Café in 2019. However, I am always looking for new opportunities. I think the key to any business is identifying a need or gap in the market, and no other chicken-based food outlet has the same diversity in their menu options as we do.”
The wings come in portions of 6, 8, 12, and 24 each, with cauliflower and jackfruit options to appeal to the vegan market. Each portion option is served with one of WNGZ’s signature sauces.
Arif added: “I do not see why we could not become one of the most popular food brands in the country. We offer delicious alternatives to the most famous brands across the UK, and we have even had customers tell us they prefer our products.
“Our menu caters to customers with varying preferences, anyone can enjoy our wings, no matter their diet. We also have jackfruit wings, a delicious protein and fibre meat alternative to chicken, on our menus. Our approach to food innovation sets us apart from other players in the market.”
