Amjed Zaman, Jennifer Lee & Patricia Obawole, LCF Law
Yorkshire based LCF Law has made three high level promotions across its personal and corporate divisions, with Amjed Zaman becoming a partner and Jennifer Lee and Patricia Obawole both being promoted to associate.
Amjed has spent eight years in LCF Law’s personal law team. Based in the firm’s Bradford office, he specialises in wills and probate, with significant experience in cross border and international estates, advising on succession and tax planning for both UK clients who have assets overseas, and overseas clients with assets in the UK. Amjed acts for clients in many jurisdictions of different religious and ethnic backgrounds.
Amjed is also responsible for training and mentoring LCF Law’s trainee solicitors and plays an active and successful role in business development. Both Jennifer and Patricia, who are based in LCF Law’s Bradford and Leeds offices respectively, joined the firm as trainees and progressed through the LCF Law Career Pathway programme.
Amjed said: “After joining LCF Law in 2015 as a newly qualified solicitor, through hard work and with wonderful support and guidance, it’s a huge honour and privilege to be promoted to partner. Our team is renowned for its depth and expertise and I’m looking forward to building on this reputation further.”
Simon Stell, managing partner at LCF Law, said: “Their promotions are recognition of the high regard in which they are held by clients, their fellow professionals and colleagues for their legal expertise, dedicated work and client care.”
Josh Pickard, Wold Top Brewery
A Wold Newton family brewing business has created a new apprenticeship role in its admin team to support its growing business.
Josh Pickard from Bridlington has joined the team at Wold Top Brewery as Office Administrator and is combining work at the brewery whilst studying for a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification at Craven College in Skipton.
Wold Top Director, Kate Balchin, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Josh to the team. It is the first time that we have taken on an apprentice, and we’re happy with the contribution that Josh has made in a short space of time.
“Apprenticeships are a great way to acquire skills whilst learning on the job. For Josh, he’s earning whilst he’s learning, and for us, we have someone who is acquiring valuable skills that he can build on to progress his career.”
“I’m really enjoying working with the team at Wold Top. I’ve found it very easy to fit in and get along with everyone, and this has also allowed me to learn and pick things up quickly and work with confidence. My responsibilities include dealing with orders and queries from customers online and over the phone, logistics for supermarkets and trade customers, plus other administrative tasks,” said Mr. Pickard.

Chris will be responsible for developing business to optimise all products, with a particular focus on the Hallstone brand which is dedicated to the trade market.
