Yorkshire business champions customer engagement with experiential roadshow
Jorvik Tricycles, the leading tricycle manufacturer based in York, enjoyed huge success in hosting its second ever ‘Try-Cycle’ experiential event for cycle enthusiasts this month, as the business took to the road to showcase the growing product portfolio in Henley-on-Thames, dubbed ‘Trikes on the Thames’.
The event ran on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June, and saw the brand invite customers from across the country along to the Eyot Centre located on the river in historic Henley-on-Thames.
Over 100 customers attended the event, with some journeying from as far as the Welsh coast for the chance to learn more about one of the biggest trends in cycling. Attendees enjoyed one-to-one time with brand representatives who talked through the product range and the benefits of travelling on three wheels, as well as the advantages of tricycles compared to a traditional bicycle.
Following the success of the Try-Cycle events, the first of which was hosted at the showroom in York, Jorvik Tricycles plans to rollout further events nationwide to target the widespread audience built by the brand since its launch nearly ten years ago.
Speaking of the plans to continue the experiences for potential customers, CEO and founder James Walker says: “Speaking one-to-one with potential customers are the most important conversations we have.
“Ultimately, we want anyone with a Jorvik Tricycle to pick up their new purchase, feel confident riding it, and enjoy it from the moment it becomes their own. Customer service is something we’re incredibly passionate about and we take pride in offering this at our events, without any pressure to purchase.”
Jorvik Tricycles was born when James built his father a tricycle following a Parkinson’s diagnosis, which meant that he could no longer ride his bicycle.
“We’re making the outdoors accessible again,” says James. “It’s about helping people make the most of their world - whether that’s the city or the countryside, there’s a Jorvik Tricycle for everyone!”
