Sangeeta Chopra, who has served on the management team for just over two years, has stepped up as interim vice chair. Sangeeta is the owner of Namaste - A Taste of India, located at the Royal Quays Independent and Outlet Centre.
Michael commented: “We’ve recently reshaped the format of the management team as both our Chair and Vice Chair reached the end of their tenure after completing many years of sterling service. They will both be missed but this is an opportunity to move on by taking their legacy forward and putting our new ideas into action.
Sangeeta added: “I am honoured to serve the business community as Interim Vice Chair. I eagerly look forward to collaborating with businesses, both large and small, and hope that my experience in retail and business can benefit others.”

Christian commented: “There has been a huge amount of change in family law over the last couple of years, with the introduction of new rules allowing people to apply for a divorce without delay, a new option for a joint application for divorce, and the removal of almost all options for contesting a divorce.”
Erin Rochford and Lucy Dean, Carney Consultancy
North Tyneside based, Carney Consultancy, has announced two new additions to its growing team. Erin Rochford from Denton Burn, Newcastle, joins as a trainee health and safety advisor and Lucy Dean from Tynemouth, joins as a business administrator.
Erin commented: “This is my dream job and I was in discussions with Angela and the team for a while when an opportunity became available for me to join as a trainee health and safety advisor.
“A few years prior to this I had my first taste of working life at Carney Consultancy, undertaking a work placement and I know Angela through her work as a committee member of Working Well Together North East, of which I am a member.
“In my role, I am working closely with Sarah James, senior health and safety consultant and Jamie Clark, health and safety advisor, who are passing on their knowledge and expertise.
Lucy said: “I am really enjoying my new position and I knew that Carney Consultancy had a reputation for being an excellent employer. I am working closely with trainee health and safety assistant, Kerry Benson and customer liaison coordinator, Louise Dack.”
Angela Carney, managing director, added: “We want to provide colleagues with clear career progression routes and the opportunity to embrace wider roles within the construction sector that will help support their development.
“If we look at the Carney team, we have a mix of graduates, those who took the apprenticeship option and others that started their careers within the trades and worked their way up. There isn’t a defined path and no one route is the right way.”
