Simon Bailey, Born Ugly
Creative change agency Born Ugly has appointed Simon Bailey as its new non-executive Chair. Bringing with him a wealth of experience, Simon’s strategic appointment will be central to Born Ugly’s ambitious growth plans to expand its capabilities in creative problem-solving and delivering disruptive ideas, strategies and creative globally.
As a non-exec chair, Simon will continue in his full-time role as Senior Partner at Kantar Consulting, utilising his experience to support and advise Born Ugly on its next phase of development.
Formerly holding positions including European CEO of Interbrand and UK CEO of WPP’s Brand Union, Simon joins with over 20 years of brand and business consulting experience. He has worked with an impressive roster of clients, including Barclaycard, BBC, Nissan Europe, Shell, SAB Miller, Unite and Vodafone.

Robert Jauneika, H&H Land & Estates
In the latest development in their continuing expansion across the North of England, H&H Land & Estates are delighted to announce the promotion of Robert Jauneika MRICS FAAV to the role of associate director and head of land agency for Yorkshire.
Born and brought up in Wensleydale, Robert joined H&H Land & Estates from the National Trust in February 2019. Since this time Robert has provided a wide range of rural professional advisory and agency services from the company’s Durham office and he has helped develop the business, the company’s geographical spread and client portfolio.
Commenting Robert Jauneika said “Working with H&H Land & Estates over the past four years has been an exceptional experience for me. I have been delighted to be part of the company’s development and to help expand our client base and the support we give them particularly in my own home county.”

Emma Hudson, Switalskis
Solicitor Emma Hudson has been appointed by Switalskis to strengthen its Leeds clinical negligence team.
Emma joins Switalskis’ growing clinical negligence team of 83 people who are based in offices in London and across Yorkshire. She will primarily work on birth injury cases alongside Kay Barnes, who is head of the Leeds office of Switalskis’ clinical negligence department.
Emma explains that her own experience of caring for her child with specific complex health needs and her bereavement gives her a high level of empathy. She says: “My own experience has given me a greater understanding of what our clients go through when they experience a significant life-changing event and its deep impact on the whole family.
“It’s a privilege to work so closely with clients and to be invited to look at the details of their cases, especially at a time when they are often facing unimaginable personal challenges. My role is to leave no stone unturned, to gather the facts of the case, to support families in their search for answers and achieve the justice they deserve to help them move forward with their lives.”
Says Kay Barnes: “Emma’s appointment reflects our commitment to attracting, supporting and retaining the best professionals in the industry.
