A firm of North East civil and structural engineers has strengthened its team with several new appointments as it continues to invest in developing its national operations.
Lisa Simpson joins as associate director at Seaton Burn-based RWO. She brings extensive steel structures and civil engineering industry experience to the role, together with expertise in Revit, AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Also joining the office is Callum Webster and Paul Florescu, who come into the structures team as structural engineer and graduate structural engineer respectively. Matty Atkinson steps up to the role of senior structural engineer, while the company’s Stokesley-based geotechnical department is boosted with the appointment of senior geotechnical engineer Kate Russell.
Currently employing 30 people, RWO is strengthening its team to meet strong regional and national demand for engineering services from housebuilders, commercial property developers and construction companies.
Managing director Ross Oakley said the firm is seeing growth off the back of investment in high performance staff and will recruit further this year across all its North East and Yorkshire operations.
He added: “Our strength lies in our people, so I’m delighted to welcome Lisa, Callum and Paul to RWO. They are experienced and talented people with values that align closely with our business so, I look forward to working closely with them as they build their careers with us. Huge congratulations also to Matty on his promotion, which is extremely well deserved and reflects the high standard of services he provides to clients.”
Joseph I’Anson, Bradley Hall
A leading North of England property specialist has appointed a new director to head up its Tees Valley operation. Joseph I’Anson has been appointed as the director of Bradley Hall Teesside, a decade after joining the business.
I’Anson, who studied estate management at Northumbria University, first joined Bradley Hall as a graduate surveyor in June 2013. Since then, he has gone on to climb the ranks, going from chartered surveyor to associate director, and is now set to take on his biggest role to date.
He said: “I am incredibly proud to have been appointed as the new director of Bradley Hall Teesside. As someone who has lived and studied in the region my whole life, I have seen first-hand how the area has been transformed over the past decade.
“Traditionally, the region’s engineering, energy and chemicals industries have been the area’s economic bedrock, and while that remains the case today, significant developments such as Teesworks and TeesAMP are heralding the beginning of a new dawn for the area.”“
Neil Hart, chief executive of Bradley Hall, also joined Bradley Hall as an estate management graduate from Northumbria University. Speaking about Joseph’s promotion, he said: “We are delighted that Joseph has accepted the offer to head up our Teesside office.”
