David Cliff is a high level business coach , member of the North East committee of the Institute of Directors (IoD) and is chair of the Northern Sector group. David is Managing Director of Houghton le Spring-based Gedanken Ltd, a company specialising in coaching based support, personal development and mediation. After training as a legal executive, David became a Psychiatric Social Worker and received commendation by the Social Services Inspectorate for innovative practices in “change work” with clients. He is also a widely experienced consultant, trainer, manager and therapist. David is an experienced manager in both the public and private sector. He achieved an MBA in 1994 and is currently studying for a Doctorate in Business Administration. He has senior management experience within the NHS and is one of the earliest nationally accredited Counsellors and Psychotherapists with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which was achieved as far back as 1984. David is a Full Member of the Association for Coaching.
