Bigge weekend brings the stars to Northumberland

Ex-Boyzone turned soloist singer Ronan Keating will head up a two-day festival in Northumberland this summer. The Dubliner will be the star attraction at a two-day festival at Linden Hall Hotel in August. Linden’s Bigge Weekend on August 19 and 20 features a day of classical music followed the next day by a pop concert. Julian Llloyd Webber and the English Philharmonic Orchestra will take to the stage on August 19, with Ronan singing the following day supported by a number of acts including X Factor favourites, Journey South and up-and-coming swing singer, Peter Grant.The event has been organised by Wearside-based charity The Children’s Hope Foundation which will be one of the beneficiaries along with the Sunshine Fund, Just for Kids and the Niemann-Pick Disease Group.Tickets for the classical concert – Symphony by The Hall - are £25 each and £65 for a family ticket. A number of VIP tickets are also available at £100 each but which must be bought in pairs. These tickets include a champagne reception, gourmet picnic hamper and wine and use of the VIP marquee along with a prime position to view the event.Tickets for Ronan’s Bigge Sunday –which will be hosted by Metro Radio’s Wayne Tuncliffe - are £32.50 with VIP packages at £150 a ticket, again sold in pairs. There will be a fireworks spectacular after each event and a party for those with VIP tickets. Camping areas are available for people who want to attend both shows at £10 per person or £15 for two.Tickets can be booked via a special ticketmaster line on 0871 230 4414 from June 2.
