Cash boost for Tees musicians
A £24,000 award from the Northern Rock Foundation has increased the ability of a local music development organization to help local musicians, bands and songwriters overcome the barriers and develop a career in the music business. A Teesside music project has been awarded £24,000 by the Northern Rock Foundation to help local musicians develop a career in the music business. From Teesside with Love, a project managed by the Tees Music Alliance, was given the award to continue its work in supporting Tees based musician and songwriters. In particular the development of its programmes of training and support of live performance opportunities for talented musicians, helping them become confident and capable of working in the music business. Paul Burns, Project Manager said “We’re delighted to receive this award and grateful to the Northern Rock Foundation for their assistance. From Teesside with Love has a long term strategy to connect our very talented, locally based musicians with the national music industry – needless to say, the Foundation’s support will go along way to achieving this strategy.”
