Computer and Network Security Awareness course

The Computer and Network Security Awareness course is for individuals and organisations just beginning to explore computer security. The course is designed to teach participants with little or no security experience about important concepts and technology every internet user should know.

You will learn about many different threats, antivirus programs, firewalls, anti-spyware, identity theft, Pishing, how to create strong passwords and more.

Topics covered: malicious code, identity theft, pishing, web browser security, antivirus, spyware, firewalls, patching, passwords.

The Computer and Network Security Awareness course is being delivered by ETR2A in order to raise awareness and give you the basic skills to protect your computer at home, work or on the road. After the course you will have the basic knowledge to protect your computer and your organisation and gain an appreciation for the need for computer and information security.

The Computer and Network Security Awareness course is a 3 hour hands on course delivered by at Northumbria University starting on 27 February 2006 from 5.30 - 8.30 P.M. the cost is £100 plus VAT.
