Dream Job In More Ways Than One

It certainly sounds like a dream job – and in more ways than one. Metro newspaper reports that 35-year old Wayne Munnelly has just been appointed the world’s first director of sleep. Hotel chain Travelodge has created the post to ensure that its guests can enjoy a good night’s sleep in each of its 17,000 rooms. And with a salary of £60,000 per year, private health scheme and pension, Wayne should certainly have no trouble dropping off as he travels the length of Britain, stopping off to have random naps in Travelodge’s 25,000 beds. But he won’t just be catching 40 winks, Wayne will actually looking at every aspect which could affect a person’s sleep – from mattress tension and pillow density to the way the room is lit.
