Hockey Star Tackles Crime
Tip to pickpockets: if you’re going to steal someone’s wallet in Turin, don’t pick an Olympic athlete, and an ice hockey player at that. Canadian news website Canoe.ca reports that a thief got a nasty shock when he tried to steal the wallet of Gina Kingsbury, a forward on the Canadian women’s ice hockey team. The athlete chased after the pickpocket when she realised what had happened, sprinting 40 metres - while loaded with shopping bags - and tackled the thief to the ground to get her money back. Lucky for him that she didn’t have her stick with her!
