North East's impressions of life at Westminster

ITV Tyne Tees’ political discussion programme, Around The House, tonight features interviews with the region’s four new MPs, a year to the day after they first entered Parliament. Helen Ford will also present the second of two special reports from Brussels, following a day in the life of the former Hartlepool MP, Peter Mandelson. As European Commissioner for Trade, his work has a real impact on the North East, with sweeping changes to the way we do business with other countries at the top of his agenda. Also, for a regional view on the week’s political events at home – and how long the North East’s most powerful politician should stay in the top job – Gerry will be talking to The Journal’s Political Editor, Zoe Hughes. Around The House is at midnight tonight on ITV Tyne Tees.
