Shear karaoke star
Recording your dad acting silly on your mobile and then putting the video on the internet is enough to get the average 13-year old grounded – but if you’re Alan Shearer’s daughter, you’ll face the wrath of his lawyers too. The 32-second video of Shearer singing along to U2 in his car and then breaking into a huge grin at first panicked the lawyers, who stated: “We have not given permission for this to be used. “We are seeking legal action to get it removed.” However, a day later they seem to have seen the funny side (or perhaps the PR agent had a quiet word) and they issued a new statement: “We have looked into this on Alan’s behalf and realised that the footage is completely innocent and is capturing Alan spending time with his family. As a result we will be taking no action.“If you fancy seeing what all the fuss was about, go to http://www.bebo.com/FlashBox.jsp?FlashBoxId=1148343711
