Slithery shopper
A lethal anaconda was found slithering around one of Britain’s largest shopping centres, reports The Sun newspaper. The 4ft snake, more commonly found wallowing in the dense forest swamps of South America, was spotted quietly slipping into the indoor pond at Lakeside in Essex. Security guards managed to ensnare the slippery reptile before panic spread amongst the shoppers. Although not a venomous snake, the anaconda will grab their victims with large teeth and pull them underwater to drown them – hence it’s chosen location in the ornamental pond. The guards feared that the anaconda had been dumped by an irresponsible owner, so it was taken to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital which began searching for a new home for the snake.
