Subway Commuters Fail Dress Code
Trouser-less commuters were arrested in New York yesterday, as police failed to see the funny side of a prank. 160 people boarded the subway train wearing no trousers as part of an ‘Improv Everywhere’ prank, with the mission to simply ride the train as they usually would, except without pants. The flashmob style website urged participants to “Act as you normally would. You do not know any of the other pants-less riders. If questioned, tell folks that you ‘forgot to wear pants’ and yes you are ‘a little cold.’ Insist that it is a coincidence that others also forgot their pants. Be nice and friendly and normal.” However, the New York Police Department didn’t see the funny side, and 26 police officers handcuffed six people and took them to the precinct, and issued court summons to eight more.
