Summer CD burn

As fans of Nick Hornby’s High Fidelity will know, creating mix-tapes is the music snob’s favourite pastime. Making a compilation is the most shamelessly indulgent way of showing off your collection of rare vinyl b-sides, and a thoughtful playlist from someone else can expose you to beautiful music you never knew existed and change the course of your music listening forever. Now you can swap music tastes with total strangers with the Summer CD Burn project. Sign up online at www.funjunkie.co.uk/the_summer_burn.cfm, make two CD’s, post them, then receive two CD’s from other people. 1,030 people have signed up so far this year, already breaking 2005’s record.
