The benefits of running backwards
OAPs are often seen speeding down the street in electric scooters, but rarely do you see pensioners running 19 miles a day. Not only this, but a very fit 68 year old Brazilian man does it travelling backwards! According to Ananova.com, Ary Brasil’s regime has significantly improved his health. He commented: “It’s been nine years since I last had a cold and I don’t even remember the last time I went to the doctor.“Apparently, running backwards also helps the athlete to feel less out of breath and develop stronger muscles. And although you may have never seen or practiced this unconventional exercise, the technique has been welcomed by the locals. He added: “People used to mock me in the streets but now they applaud me when I pass.”
