Win competition to be voice of virtual call centre agent
A German hi-tech company has launched a search to find the voice of its new virtual call centre agent, Elsbeth. The Elsbeth system is a predictive dialer and voice-recording product developed by itCampus. The company - a spin-off from two German universities with its international headquarters in North Tyneside - claims its predictive dialling technology will allow call centre staff to double their capacity to deal with customers, reducing the threat of UK call centre jobs being off-shored to low-cost economies. Call centre agents from across the UK are invited to enter the competition to be the voice of Elsbeth, with the winner receiving a prize of £3,000. Participants have to leave their voice sample based on a prepared script on a dedicated hotline. Entries must be received by 25 September 2006 and experts from the industry will then make their final decision.
