Entrepreneurs prefer happiness to money
57% of entrepreneurs would choose job satisfaction over large profits, reveals research from Bibby Financial Services. Only a quarter of small business owners and managers think that success is defined by making large profits. Half believe that having a respected business and enough money to live comfortably is more important than huge profits.
“It’s encouraging to know that entrepreneurs are more concerned about enjoying their career than the size of their bank balance,” said David Robertson, chief executive of Bibby Financial Services.
However, the study also found that over a third of entrepreneurs lack the finance to achieve their business ambitions, while a further 10% claim they are held back by family commitments.
