Sign of the times on bdaily.tv
To celebrate the British Deaf Association’s Learn to Sign Week (2nd - 8th October), bdaily has teamed up with deaf-led organisation Becoming Visible to produce a very special edition of bdaily.tv.
Sign language interpreters have translated our most recent launch edition - featuring Tyne Tees’ Kim Inglis and Metro Radio’s Ingrid Hagemann - into British Sign Language. The interpretation is provided by Francis Murphy and Tessa Padden, who also presents the Deaf News on BBC’s See Hear programme.
This special edition represents a taster of what is to come when the service is launched in earnest in November, with future plans for the weekly audio update to be accompanied by a British Sign Language channel for the deaf community.
