Postman succeeds with sketchy details
We’ve all complained about the postal services from time to time, but every now and again they pull something out of the bag (pun half intended) that helps redeem them. A Cornish postman has successfully delivered a letter marked only with a name and a sketched map. The envelope had a drawing of the South West with a dot in North Cornwall and an arrow saying “Somewhere Here”.
Delivery staff worked out the arrow was pointing to Bude, where colleagues in the town recognised the addressee, Peter O’Leary. Eric Seymour, who delivered the letter, told the Mirror: “He was very impressed.” Unfortunately the sender, who was a former colleague of Mr O’Leary’s, forgot to include his own address.
