Tees firm to recruit for global oil and gas major

A North East recruitment firm has been awarded a £2m personnel contract which will see the firm recruiting permanent staff for opportunities in Europe and Africa. Wolviston Management Services Limited, based in Stockton-on-Tees, will recruit up to 40 people over the next two-years, working on behalf of an international oil and gas company.

Wolviston’s client (which cannot be named for contractual reasons) have decided to reduce the number of recruitment agencies it uses from 200 down to just five.

Wolviston will be recruiting qualified personnel of all grades in the Technical Engineering, Project Engineering, Production and Manufacturing, Science, Process Engineering and Research and Development sectors. Specialists will also be sought to fulfil vacancies in the firm’s Subsurface Division, particularly its Petroleum Engineering, Wells and Geosciences departments.

Robin Davison the Managing Director of the Wolviston Group and Chairman of the Tees Valley Engineering Partnership Marketing Group (TVEP), said: “This latest contract win for Wolviston Management Services shows how well respected North East engineers are around the world and I think that more attention should be given to the significant contributions that the area makes to the UK economy. The North East has received some bad publicity lately, and I hope that announcements like this one go some way towards silencing the region’s critics.”

Wolviston recruits permanent and temporary engineers for chemical, petrochemical and oil and gas companies within the Tees Valley and the UK. It also has overseas contracts in Europe, Middle and Far East Asia, Africa and the Americas, which bring export revenue into the region’s economy.
