Service Network merges with Entrust

The North East business services sector is to receive further support with the announcement that representative body Service Network is to merge with Entrust. Service Network will move its team from its existing location at The Quadrus Centre in Boldon to Entrust’s Newcastle-based offices.

Service Network has a 300-strong membership across sectors such as accountancy, law, marketing, the built environment, human resources and e-business. It aims to provide a platform for companies to make contacts with like-minded service providers and increase awareness of their businesses.

The organisation believes that by joining forces with Entrust it will help its members access specialist growth funds and find the right employees.

Katherine Aitken, outgoing executive director at Service Network, said: “There is considerable opportunity for Entrust and Service Network to build upon their respective achievements and, by working together, provide greater stimulation to the region’s economic regeneration.”

David Bowles, current Entrust chair and past chair of Service Network, said: “The development and progression of the region’s business services sector is at the heart of what Service Network is all about. Working in partnership is a fantastic opportunity. I’m sure it will herald exciting times ahead, not only for us as an organisation but for Service Network members who we know to be aspiring, growing organisations.”
