Why ?out to lunch' can be good for business
An informal networking event organised by RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) has become a vital link for property professionals in the North East in the midst of the current economic downturn.
Surveyors @ Lunch provides an opportunity for colleagues and friends to get together, network and hear about the latest developments in the property market.
The next one takes place on Friday 28 November at Zizzi’s restaurant on Newcastle’s Grey Street and invites professionals from all areas of the land, property and construction sectors.
Jennifer Welch, Durham-based Operations Director of RICS North, believes this kind of event helps to maintain the vital links across the professions during tough times.
Jennifer said: “The Surveyors @ Lunch events are always popular, but as the credit crunch continues to hit parts of the industry hard, this has become even more vital as a way of keeping up contacts, building new ones and finding out exactly what’s going on in the region.
“It’s a cross-professional lunch, so as well as chartered surveyors there will be solicitors, project managers, planners, civil engineers, architects and others. It’s a great mix and often where new leads and working partnerships are forged.”
The event begins at 12.30pm and includes a drinks reception and a traditional Italian buffet. Tickets cost £16.45 (including VAT). To book and for further information contact 0870 389 9292 or email northernevents@rics.org.
