Final call for Digital Awards
The organisers of awards celebrating the North East’s digital excellence are reminding local companies to get their entries in soon. The North East Digital Awards (NEDA) ceremony will take place on Wednesday 25 March, and the deadline is now a month away.
Funded by regional development agency One North East, the competition aims to highlight the region’s range of digital-based talent by celebrating their skills and vision.
The awards are managed by the North East Regional Portal (TNERP), who are encouraging all those in the region’s digital community to make sure entries are submitted before the deadline of 27 February at www.northeastdigitalawards08.co.uk.
Stephen Carey, One North East’s e-Business Specialist, said: “North East England is a hotbed of digital talent and these awards aim to highlight and celebrate this - promoting the achievements of businesses in all aspects of digital technology, innovation and practice.” The awards are divided into three groups: Digital Users, Digital Suppliers and Digital Innovators. Each group has its own range of categories, such as ‘Best e-Commerce Website’, ‘Best News and Entertainment Website’ and ‘Best Social Media Optimisation campaign’.
