IBM award for tech firm

A Gateshead business has been awarded a top accolade by computer technology company IBM.

Business solutions provider ITPS has been presented with the UK Mid Market Business Partner Award. ITPS beat off competitors from across the UK to win the award, which was presented to ITPS director George Galloway at the annual IBM Mid Market Community Conference in Manchester.

George said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to receive this highly coveted award.

“To have our efforts recognised by a worldwide player such as IBM is a fantastic accolade for the work of everyone at ITPS, and a great boost towards our aim of being the best provider of innovative business solutions to the mid market, which takes in organisations with under 1000 staff.

“In this difficult economic climate it’s more important than ever that companies make sure they are getting the most out of their IT investment. The mid market is the cornerstone of the region’s economy and a key sector for us, and we aim to continue to develop solutions to help clients in that sector maximise their business efficiency.”

Jacqueline Davey, vice president of IBM’s Business Partner Organisation said: “This award celebrates ITPS’s achievement in consistently providing high quality advice and services to its client base, and demonstrating significant revenue growth in the UK mid market.

“We are pleased to be working with a partner that delivers such an expert service and to be able to hand over this award in recognition of their work.”

The latest award joins a growing list of accolades for ITPS, including being voted Virgin Media’s top UK reseller for the last five years, and Trend SME Partner of the year for 2 consecutive years.
